Project description:
While profound treatment responses have been realised using immunotherapy for some cancer types, this is yet to be seen for paediatric brain cancer patients. Little is known about the brain-specific immune system in children and an even less is known about the immune system in childhood brain cancers. In this project, we have pioneered novel ways to mimic childhood brain cancer and uncover previously unknown avenues to harness the immune system for therapy.
