Telethon Kids Institute welcomes Honours, PhD, Masters and Doctor of Medicine students wishing to take on a research project as part of their studies.
At Telethon Kids, we're committed to training the next generation of child health researchers.
This is reflected in our strategic plan through a specific goal to build capacity and excellence in our people, in recognition that they are our greatest asset. This includes higher degree students.
We want the very best students working here with us and in return, we'll ensure the highest quality supervision, excellent facilities and work environment, and career development opportunities.
The Institute has around 100 students enrolled from a number of universities around Australia, conducting research projects from laboratory-based projects to population-wide studies.
We have students completing Honours, Masters, PhD and Doctor of Medicine degrees.
We provide an environment where students thrive and are supported throughout their time here.
Since I have been a student at the Telethon Kids Institute, I have had so much support and guidance. In my first month I went on the Student Development Program, with workshops and inspirational talks designed to give advice and insight to students. I got a lot of advice on deadlines and requirements that I would need to meet, but also who I could go to for support. Now I'm loving the student community that I've become a part of. Doing ground-breaking research in such a supportive environment is amazing.
