Telethon Kids CONNECT honours the many ways our community supports us to make our research great and achieve our vision of happy healthy kids.

Designed to further strengthen our connection with the WA community, CONNECT acknowledges, rewards and thanks people for the contributions they make to our research.

There’s a lot to be proud of and celebrate – our community plays an important role in what we do, how we do it, and what we achieve.

Why did CONNECT start?

Telethon Kids Institute has had a strong community of supporters and contributors since we started in 1990. The WA community have contributed in many different ways – as study participants, as fundraisers, as volunteers, through informing and shaping our research, sharing our research news, and advocating for change. Through CONNECT we want to strengthen our connection with our community. It gives the community new ways of being part of Telethon Kids and gives us a better way to engage with our community and recognise their contributions. With input from the community and other stakeholders, we have developed the CONNECT program to provide a range of opportunities for the community to be genuinely engaged with the Institute.
