Commercialisation Officer

Ashley is Commercialisation Officer at the Telethon Kids Institute, working mainly in Technology Transfer. Ashley is responsible for the identification, protection and management of Intellectual Property generated by Telethon Kids researchers. He works together with researchers to continue to develop and commercialise their research. Ashley also plays a role in developing and supporting industry collaborations and facilitates many of the internal and external innovation and entrepreneurship education opportunities for Telethon Kids researchers.
Beyond this, Ashley has additional responsibilities within the Research Development team including leading the Institute’s annual Scientific Retreat, a two-day internal symposium and managing a number of internal funding opportunities including travel awards and project seed funding.
Ashley has a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) with Honours from Curtin University and has previous experience as a medical scientist with St John of God Pathology.
