Kahli is a Wongi and Noongar woman, with an interest in improving the mental health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young peoples and their families and early intervention. She is currently undertaking her Doctor of Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology at The University of Western Australia under the supervision of Prof Helen Milroy and A/Prof Jeneva Ohan.

Kahli’s PhD focuses on building a culturally safe mental health system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and exploring the facilitators and barriers for accessing mental health services. She hopes that her research can inform training opportunities for student and early career practitioners/ researchers to provide culturally safe care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families.
