Liesel Hool is a Research Assistant in the Early Neurodevelopment and Mental Health Team which is currently led by Dr Amy Finlay-Jones at the Telethon Kids Institute. Liesel is also a current Master of Public Health student who has recently completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Western Australia and is interested in pursuing a career in population mental health research.
In addition to this, Liesel is passionate about understanding the neurobiological and physiological mechanisms which underpin mental health disorders which therefore informs the prevention and treatment of mental health disorders in infants, children, and adolescents.
Finally, Liesel is also currently involved in supporting the Social Determinants of Infant Mental Health Special Interest Group in the Infant Mental Health Research Australasia Network.
