BA (Human Geography and Urban Planning)

Kate is the WA Node Program Coordinator for the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course (the Life Course Centre).

The Life Course Centre aims to deliver transformative research and translation to break the cycle of deep and persistent disadvantage and improve outcomes for all Australians.

The Life Course Centre research sits across four states and universities in Australia. The WA Node is administered through UWA and both WA Chief Investigators in the Life Course Centre lead teams at Telethon Kids Institute. The WA Node Director of the Life Course Centre is Associate Professor Francis Mitrou who leads The Human Development and Community Wellbeing Team and Associate Professor Hayley Christian leads the Child Physical Activity, Health, and Development Team.

Kate works across both teams in all components linked to the Life Course Centre including providing leadership and support to research, project management and administrative staff to ensure the teams deliver high quality research outcomes that work towards the aims of the Life Course Centre.
