Research Assistant – Epidemiology Statistics

Mark joined the MAP team in November 2020 as a Research Assistant, aimed at supporting the malaria risk stratification team in spatiotemporal modelling of malaria risk prevalence and incidence, under the WHO’s “High burden high impact” initiative.

Mark completed his MSc is Statistics and Information Management at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa Information Management School. During his studies he worked in the Directorate of Statistics at the European Central Bank, helping with the development of an integrated modelling approach for supervisory reporting, the Banks’ Integrated Reporting Dictionary (BIRD). Mark also holds a BCom from the University of Western Australia.
