Lizzie Button

Lizzie is a Research Assistant in the Early Years System Evidence Team. Lizzie works in the area of contracted evaluation and resource development. Lizzie’s interests are in working collaboratively with government, communities and other stakeholders to contribute to the development of systems that support children and families. She undertakes consultation with community members, families and stakeholders to inform work that responds to need and is fit-for-purpose. Lizzie has undertaken a number of contracted projects including:

• The development of a resource kit to support communities in the Northern Territory to have conversations about how to best meet the needs of local children and families.
• The development of a suite of resources to support schools to respond to challenging and complex behaviour.
• An evaluation of the Trauma Aware Schools initiative, which provided trauma-informed practice training and support to South Australian public schools.

Lizzie has worked previously in a range of research roles focused on engagement with children and families and the service providers who support them and has experience in working collaboratively with children and families.
