Prospective surveillance study to determine the concurrent burden of skin and throat infections in children, from two remote communities in Northern Australia. Information on the current burden of skin and throat infections in these populations is not known. This study will assess children regularly for skin and throat infections over a one year period, and the results will help inform the primary prevention strategies needed to reduce ARF/RHD in remote Australian populations.
