Dr Sharynne Hamilton is a Ngunnawal woman living on Noongar Boodjar. She was a Senior Research Fellow and the Co-Head of Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing at Telethon Kids Institute in Perth, now at the University of Technology Sydney.

She is a leading expert and advocate for children and families involved with the child protection and youth justice systems. Focused on healing, recovery and wellbeing, her research has centred on equitable access to culturally relevant support and advocacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities involved with statutory systems.
