Noni started at the Telethon Kids Institute in April 2015 and is working as part of the Alcohol and Pregnancy and FASD Research group.
As a public health practitioner for more than 30 years, Noni has worked in a range of areas including health promotion workforce development, tobacco control, cancer prevention, workplace health promotion, alcohol and other drugs, injury control, and nutrition.
Noni has experience in many of the elements in the project life cycle, collaborating with partners and communities to: identify needs and assets; develop objectives, targets, strategies and evaluation plans; prepare funding applications, create teams; build and maintain partnerships and networks; communicate with diverse stakeholders, liaise with funders and plan for sustainability; conduct qualitative evaluation; and produce project reports.
At the Institute, Noni joins the Banksia Hill FASD project funded by the NHMRC that aims to improve the management of youth with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in the justice system.
