Clinical Research Coordinator
Qatan Sagaale is Clinical Research Coordinator of Research Platforms at Telethon Kids Institute.
Alongside oversight and management of the clinical research suites, she is also responsible for maintaining the Institute's alignment to relevant regulatory requirements, including the Code for Responsible Conduct of Research and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). She is currently working on developing and implementing a clinical research quality management system at the Institute, and will continue to develop initiatives for improving these systems.
She provides assistance on ethics and governance throughout the Institute, and mentors researchers and students in their development, set-up and delivery of research projects.
Qatan has several years experience training clinical research staff and assessing competency levels, and has previously worked as Clinical Research Quality Control Officer at Linear Clinical Research. She has thorough working knowledge of regulations and guidelines of clinical trials, standard operating procedures and GCP. She also has GCP auditing experience, and is a qualified medical scientist with over four years phlebotomy experience at PathWest.
