PhD Candidate & Research Assistant

Dan is a PhD candidate and Master of Clinical Psychology Student under the supervision of Associate Professor Ashleigh Lin and Dr Yael Perry at Telethon Kids Institute, and Associate Professor Jeneva Ohan at The University of Western Australian. Dan is a provisionally registered psychologist who has a professional background in crisis counselling, youth work, recovery work, domestic violence prevention training, and the Australian Defence Force. Dan has a Bachelor of Psychological Science with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the University of New South Wales.

Dan is supported by an Australian Government Research Training Program scholarship and his mixed methods PhD research is exploring empowerment in parents of trans children. Dan also works as a research assistant at Telethon Kids Institute and is currently working on a project exploring the efficacy of delivering suicide awareness training to young people experiencing homelessness.
