Ben is an accredited Biostatistician (GStat) with a Master of Biostatistics, Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Bachelor of International Studies. Ben joined the team at Telethon Kids Institute/Fraser Mustard Centre in February 2021 and provides statistical support to the team.
Currently, Ben is working on International projects utilising the Early Human Capability Index (eHCI), local projects investigating various aspects of the AEDC, and is overseeing a project which seeks to merge state-held Wellbeing and Engagement Collection (WEC) data in partnership with Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC).
Ben has wide research interests within biostatistics which include methodology and analysis of longitudinal and time-varying panel data, causal inference techniques and its application to public health and epidemiology, as well as data visualisations within the Stata context. Within the child health space, he is interested in the measurement of development indices, multilingualism & language development, and investigating inequalities using advanced statistical techniques.
