In late 2017, Telethon Kids will move to our new home within the Perth Children’s Hospital as an integral part of Western Australia's paediatric health and medical research hub at the QEII Medical Centre campus in Nedlands.
Our new home will be significantly bigger, with world-class facilities, technology and equipment to help us do the very best research that makes a difference.
Occupying several floors of the Perth Children’s Hospital building, our new home will include:
State-of-the-art laboratories, fit-for-purpose workspaces and flexible meeting rooms on levels 6 and 7
A dedicated seminar room and shared auditorium on level 5
Four trial suites in Clinic D on level 1
An interactive discovery centre and reception on the ground floor.
Our researchers will work together with doctors, nurses and other health professionals across the hospital to give every child the best opportunity to enjoy a healthy and happy childhood.
With many of our research partners - including Harry Perkins Institute, Lions Eye Institute and PathWest - also located on the QEII Medical Centre campus, there will be even greater opportunities for collaboration and translation.
Our new home is being generously funded by both the State and Federal governments, with our fit-out being undertaken by Multiplex.
Telethon Kids is looking forward to moving into our new home in late 2017.
